Re: 3in1 questions! :) How to fix... Hole in wall, wall moun
Ditto what bobfather99 said. The wall panels you have are typical for mobile homes. As for finding a matching pattern, probably not possible. If the holes are that small, you can treat them with caulk (White Lightning is my brand of choice) or spackle (drywall mud), and touchup paint that is close t...

Re: Sewer Connection
There should be a hard connection. I would take a look under your home and make sure the support straps for the main sewage pipe are all intact and holding properly. It may be an issue that has not been fully addressed and the visible symptom is this failing connection.

Thank you for the coupon suggestions, I will look into it. What kind of tar do you suggest? Roofing tar like this - http://www.lowes.com/pd_108952-29-0311-GA_4294934213_4294937087_?productId=1002189&Ns=p_product_price|0&pl=1¤tURL=%2Fpl_Roof%2BCoatings_4294934213_4294937087_%3FNs%3D...

Re: Nordyne E1EH-012HA
Sequencers are common devices, but $100 for a tech to rig it with no promise to return with the correct fix? I would call him again and ask him to fix properly, if he wants to charge for another service call, you can kindly tell him No, he needs to finish what he started. The type of rigging he did ...

Re: Newbie with Basic Questions
1. You mentioned that the I-beams are set in pockets in the foundation walls. Are you speaking of intermediate supports perpendicular to the main I-beams?
4. That fireplace looks like a prime candidate for a gas or wood stove insert! Open fireplaces are grossly inefficient as heat producers.

Re: Flooring (Economical!)
My suggestion is to start in the living room with a floating (laminate) flooring, and address each room later as money permits with differing material to set them apart. Use transition strips so you don't have to worry about matching the exact finishes. I like the idea of paper bag flooring (first I...

Re: Coleman 7970C856 pilot won't stay lit
It could be a valve or burner issue, or now the vicinity of the pilot to the main jet. A service tech would know how to check. Here's a text copy from wikipedia about the drat inducer I mentioned- The flame originates at the burners and is drawn into the heat exchanger by the negative pressure produ...

Sounds like a plan then. Cross-bracing would be simple.
JD, just to clarify, this is the type of post block I was referring to. I believe the one in the foreground is what I've seen at my local Lowes.

Re: Roof Coating after Relocation - Need Advice
Sounds like you are describing an Aluminum Roof Coating. I've applied this to an RV roof before. If the 'cracks' you are seeing are surface only, then I wouldn't worry about it as they are superficial. The aluminum finish that usually floats to the surface after application is perishable (at least f...

Deck post suggestion (to bury or not to bury...)
I will be building a simple detached 8' x 8' deck off our back door in the next month, and as I am getting a material list, am torn between concrete pier bases and anchors or buried wood posts. I am in NW Florida, so the soil is sand, which compacts and perc's extremely well. I 'planned' on digging ...
