Bathroom Fan replacement

What are the signs of a need to replace the bathroom fan? What type (low, medium, high) of fan is good, better, best? What about the noise of the new fan? Are their brand names that are better choices for installation/replacement in manufactured homes? Do you have to remove all the parts of the old ...

Re: Outside Water Faucet

OKAY I went to ACE Hardware and they hooked me all up. A whole new "HYDRANT" as they call it with ANTI SIPHON built in it. It is a 3/4 inch assembly/pipe but with a coupler I was able to hook right in place where the other Hydrant came out and boy we are in business. Not to bad of a change...

Outside Water Faucet

After 14 years in this home one of the outside faucets finally gave up and broke. Luckily not a lot of water is leaking on the outside that I can see but I need to replace this faucet. Is there any special thing to look for in a new faucet? I am wondering if it is a screw on type of faucet or a spec...

I have had my dryer exhaust vented out from under my modular home since it was placed here 13 years ago but now I am upgrading my dryer to a newer model (Family Grew) and I want to change out the exhaust hose with the latest code but thought that maybe rather then the spiralled venting that is typic...

RE: House settling and walls cracking HELP!

Thanks Greg for the reply. The slab is cracking quite a bit. Last time I checked (last November) the cracks were long and wide. Does it help to pour sand down into the cracks or will that hurt also? I have been told this is a good thing to do with cracked cement.

RE: House settling and walls cracking HELP!

Our house sits on a cement slab with the cinder block around the edges. I had one guy say that it should be 30-36 inches deep but I we only have 3 blocks high so I don't think that is the full depth needed. I am in the process of raising the dirt level on the outside and placing a rain gutter to div...

Can anyone help me out? For the last couple of years our house has been settling and in several places along the marriage seam and on end of the house several cracks have appeared. RE: Lowering manufactured home

Welll I broke down and had someone come and check out my place and low and behold it was a problem with the blocking around the out side parimeter of the home. I guess for the last 10 years our house has not been properly blocked up and I guess it needs to be reblocked or blocked. How far apart shou...
