Re: A.J. Manufacturing door replacement
Ya, I took the whole wall apart. Its all coming from the bottom of the door. I did that 3 times and had to replace a section of the floor because of the leaking. Now the floors needing replaced again ugh. Pretty frustrated.

A.J. Manufacturing door replacement
Has anyone here bought a door from A.J. Manufacturing? I bought one 3 years ago, and it has leaked water inside like crazy. Ive reinstalled it 3 times. The threshold slants inward and that's the problem I believe. They tell me that's a requirement for wheelchair accessibility. I seriously doubt that...

Coleman inducer replacement
Coleman furnace
Model: DGAA077BDTA
Inducer motor making an awfule noise when it runs. Got the replacement. However, how on earth do you replace this part? It's in it's own section of pipe and do not see an easy way to get the old out and the new one in.

Re: Old mobile home electrical
Ya I pulled a "cover" further back on this same perimeter band and they indeed ran electrical through this area the length of the home. I'm trying to figure out the best way to go about accessing it without making alot of damage just before winter. It's basically a Z channel type metal but...

Re: level vs rim joist repair
One thing with the water lever I encountered, is any air trapped in the hose will cause issues. I used a fairly long hose and had a similar issue and it was due to air trapped in the middle of the hose. Threw everything off. Once that was corrected, everything leveled up nicely. I've also been told ...

Old mobile home electrical
trailer.jpg I've been fixing up an older mobile home. 1960s era I'm guessing. Flat roof etc. When we got it there was one circuit that had a dead short in it. I've been trying to track it down when I made a concerning discovery. There were 4 electrical boxes hanging underneath but I that I never pa...

Ceiling panel replacement
The home was leaking, we've fixed that. But the ceiling panels suffered and are now sagging. I can replacements, but is it worth it? I'm thinking for the cost and time involved, maybe I should just get the textured paneling and screw up instead? The textured paneling is quite expensive but it will n...

Securing the bottom of skirting suggestions?
The mobile home my Dad bought came with its' own corrugated metal for skirting which I've went ahead and setup. Were on dirt only. I went ahead and drove wood stakes with a 1x4 screwed to the stakes along the bottom. My original intention was to run some sort of a barrier for water/moisture from soa...

Duo Therm furnace parts
I'm posting here cause hopefully it's a broader audience. I'm parting out an old Duo Therm furnace from our mobile home and know how hard it is to find parts. I'm not looking for a profit, only a few $$s to offset the new furnace we purchased and exact shipping costs. Anyone have specific parts need...

Re: How to change orifice
DaleM, yes we are changing because of different fuel types. It's a "mobile" home that has been moved to another location, using LP gas. I did learn that Duo-Therm is no longer unfortunately at the beginning of my search. Thankyou for your insight into where the orifices are located however...

Re: Duo Therm furnace and soot-unknown model but it's an old
As an update to this post I made awhile back. It did in fact have the incorrect orifice installed. I've cleaned the entire box, exchanger pipes and chimeney. Just have to figure out how to swap the orifice per my other post.

How to change orifice
Duo-Therm model 76003-5. It's an old one. Directions says to swap the regulator caps and to orifice the burner and pilot. However I cannot figure out how to do that. I found tid-bit of info. elsewhere that said the orifice is after the gas valve, and just before the burner. But this is inside the fu...
