Re: Need help identifying manufacturer of back door
Measure the door and contact your mobile home supplier. If they don't have this exact door they'll have one that will fit just fine. Prepare to pay - mobile home specific doors aren't cheap. I got big-box doors that I cut down to fit, and paid about 1/3 of what the mobile home places were asking. ht...

Mold and Mildew Remover from Dollar General. Cheaper than hydrogen peroxide. It's in a spray bottle. Spray it on, rinse it off. GREAT stuff!

Re: Wall/stud removal for water damage
Since you've gutted the bathroom/shower area anyway, you might consider removing those studs altogether and replacing them with metal studs once you get the mold and water damage dealt with. That will prevent any rot issues down the road with at least that part of the shower/bath area.

I did Rapid Wall 7 years ago on our 16 X 80 singlewide. We set the trailer high (42") so I could get under it if I needed to, and the insulated Rapid Wall seemed to be a great option for insulating and being strong enough to prevent blowouts. It has worked to perfection, and I would recommend i...

I'd go back an explore Greg's idea of a plate or strap to cover the seam. Might even put a couple more straps spaced apart along the beam so as not to draw attention to where the real seam really is. Nice rustic look!

Re: window replacement help
If you have a Window World in your area, they'll come out and do all the measurements, make the window to fit, and install it for you. Can't get much easier than that. I did a couple windows myself that were "stock" sizes, but had a couple that had to be "custom" sizes. Window Wo...

Re: How to cut a wall and create an access panel for plumpin
Tile? Good luck with that. I can guarantee it will look GREAT once it's done. I can also guarantee that at some point the trailer, no matter how well it is set, will shift and tile will fall (even if you use hardy board). It's the nature of a mobile home.

Re: How to Remove Tub, Spout without Access Panel?
The plumber came. First thing he did was take measurements so as to center the faucet on the OPPOSITE side of the wall (where there was no access panel). He said because the staples used to fasten the drywall it was problematic trying to remove the entire sheet of drywall, so he cut an access panel....

Re: How to Remove Tub, Spout without Access Panel?
I actually hired a plumber to do this job since the piping has worked loose from what anchors it to the wall. I'm not sure where it anchors, so rather than rip up the whole wall I called a guy. He's coming tomorrow so I'll watch how HE does it and report back!

Re: Rigid foam insulated skirting
Down this way it's called Rapid Wall skirting - here's a link if you want to compare prices and products... http://rustiquerapidwall.com/ I LOVE this stuff. No freeze issues (which we had before we moved), easy to work with and cuts with a circular saw. I set the bottom track for it on a frame made ...

Re: Water under mobile home
If you like the park, consider moving your trailer to a different lot that doesn't have the water issues. Unfortunately, yard water problems usually don't go away unless the whole lot is graded and leveled. Good luck!

Re: New Kinro brand windows??
If you have a Window World in your area, check them out. We've used their windows in several rental homes (stick built) but they measure for any opening. They're VERY reasonable.

Re: Pipe problem? Please help.
How old is the home, what model is it, what part of the country do you live in, do you know if anyone has ever done any work on the plumbing...answers to these questions would give us a few good reference points.
Thanks!
