Hi Mark, I have a crack in my bath tube and I am looking for a quick and easy repair that doesn't cost very much money. Do you have any tips for repairing a cracked bathtub?

A simple way to repair a cracked tub or shower.
If you have a plastic bathtub or shower that is cracked, try this quick temporary repair. First you will need to purchase a Quick Fix Tub Repair kit from Aberdeenhomerepair.com. Step one is to take a drill and drill a hole at each end of the crack to minimize spreading. Next, open your kit and find the scratch pad. Use the scratch pad to scratch around the cracked area. The scratch pad helps to smooth any rough edges around the crack and clean any residue. Next, use any type of bathroom cleaner to spray the cracked area and wipe it down. You will get better results if you have a clean surface. Give it a couple minutes to dry, then pull out the tape from your kit. Next cut a piece of tape wider than the crack so that it covers a minimum of 1" on all sides of the crack. Once you have your piece of tape cut, pull off the liner on the back of the tape and place the tape over the crack. You'll need to then smooth the piece of tape down to get rid of any air bubbles. Let the tape sit for 3 - 5 hours before using the tub. A bath mat helps to hide the patch and keeps your feet from sticking to any adhesive that may ooze out from the edges of the tape.
